Applied technology
Steel refining technology.
The company was established in 1959, initially as a manufacturing and repair unit serving the metallurgical, steel rolling, and mining workshops of the former Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Company. It has been heavily invested in large and modern machinery and equipment, making it the largest mechanical product manufacturing unit in the Northern region and the whole country during the wartime and in the post-war period. The comprehensive mechanical processing products include the entire process from raw material preparation (casting, forging) to complete machining and assembly.
By utilizing continuous casting technology and straight rolling, the company fully minimizes fuel consumption, thereby reducing production costs and gaining a competitive advantage in terms of pricing. The quality of the steel products under the TNGEC brand is controlled from the selection of raw materials, chemical composition during refining, and mechanical testing, ensuring high-quality products.
Precision engineering
In recent years, in line with the Party and government's direction to develop the Vietnamese Mechanical Industry, the company has undergone significant transformations by introducing CNC-controlled machining equipment with mass production and large-scale manufacturing models. Currently, the company's products have reached an international standard and are exported to markets such as Japan, South Korea, the United States, and others.
With the existing strengths and large-scale machining equipment capable of handling diameters up to 3,000 mm and lengths up to 12,000 mm, the company can perform gear machining up to module 20 with a diameter of 2,500 mm. The company is equipped with a system of heat treatment furnaces, milling machines, lathes, planers, and other essential equipment.
During the period of innovation, Mechanical Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company continues to vigorously develop, expand its reach, and explore new markets. It manufactures various mechanical products that were previously imported, catering to the needs of major metallurgical units, cement industry, sugarcane industry, paper production, and other industries nationwide.
The company currently implements a quality management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001:2015. The Testing Laboratory meets the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, and the products are manufactured in compliance with technical standards TCVN (Vietnam); JIS (Japan); ASTM (USA); and BS (UK).
